Health Aid Lutein is an important nutrient for the retina and a diet low in this antioxidant could increase your risk of developing cataracts and macular degeneration. Supplementing with Lutein helps to protect the eyes, and protect the rest of the body from the effects of free radicals. Some studies indicate that Lutein can help to decrease hardening of the arteries and therefore Health Aid Lutein may also aid cardiovascular health.

People often neglect particular parts of their bodies particularly eye health. Poor eye health can lead to damaged vision and may lead to permanent blindness. Lutein is a carotenoid found in fruits and vegetables such as spinach, kale, leafy greens, lettuce, leeks and peas. Lutein can only be obtained from food or vitamin supplements, as it cannot be manufactured by the body. People simply don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables rich in carotenoids, due to the busy lifestyles and consumption of fast food.

Lutein acts as an antioxidant, protecting against the damaging effects of free radicals. (Free radicals are what may cause age-related diseases). Consequently Lutein appears to be associated with protection from age-related degeneration of the eye, and other eye conditions.

Lutein tablets may be of benefit to;
• Senior citizens who experience deteriorating eyesight.
• People who wish to maintain good eye health.
• People who have jobs that involve them spending long hours on the computer, which deteriorates eyesight.
• Children who strains their eyes by watching lots of TV and playing computer/ video games.
• Those who have age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and other eye related conditions.
• People with poor diets who eat, drink and smoke excessively.
Directions
Adults and children over 6 years of age, one capsule daily, preferably in the morning with breakfast, or as advised by a suitably qualified person.
