Psyllium Husk

Health Aid Psyllium Husk is a soluble fibre that can be used for weight control or to maintain digestive and intestinal health. Can help those with IBS, anal fissures, hemorrhoids and is recommended after gynaecological, abdominal, anal or rectal surgery. Health Aid Psyllium Husk may also be of benefit during pregnancy.


HealthAid Psyllium Seed Husk is traditionally used to help maintain regularity, support intestinal cleansing and aid the softening of faecal matter. It is important to maintain adequate fluid intake when taking Psyllium Husk to help maintain healthy bowel movements, ease and regularity. It is also useful for slimmers, as part of calorie controlled diet, and when taken regularly, helps to keep you trim, clean and healthy.

Psyllium is a bulk-forming laxative and is high in both fibre and mucilage, the seeds containing 10-30 % mucilage. The laxative properties are due to the swelling of the husk when it comes in contact with water. In addition to its traditional and current use for constipation, Psyllium was also used topically to treat skin irritation, including poison ivy reactions and insect bites and stings.
Directions
Adults: Take two capsules daily. Can be increased to four if required.
Children over 12 years of age: Take two capsules daily.
Take with a generous amount of water or juice, preferably in the evening or as advised by a suitably qualified person.
Serving Amount
Per 2 capsules:
Psyllium husk: 1000mg.
Ingredients
Psyllium Husk (plantago ovata), Vegetable Capsule Shell (Hypromellose Cellulose (HPMC), Silica, Magnesium Stearate*. *From vegetable source.

Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans. No added sugar or salt. Free from yeast, gluten, soya, wheat & dairy products.
