- Better Than Chocolate...not!

Ok better than chocolate from a nutrient profile not taste. I have tried choc flavour and it wasn't too bad. This is very expensive and is simIlar to angel delight but not as pleasing. I would recommend buying a tub of micellar casein instead, it will work out cheaper and prob taste better.

The first mouthful tastes ok all though a bit dull. Then it just becomes harder to eat by the spoonful. It is very thick with the 150ml water as directed and you should use a bit more. It has a plane cardboard taste and is very boring. Just a 3 star rating for me - I have tasted worse though!

This stuff tastes amazing. Ive got a really sweet tooth and this is the ideal thing to keep me off the snickers bars. Its not cheap so i dont eat it too often. Only 140 cals and 25g of protein so its not even a cheat meal. Its quite hard to mix, i use a touch more water than directed.

CNP Professional's instant protein pudding mix is made from our unique blend of fast and slow release undenatured proteins. Pro-Dessert includes micellar casein which is an undenatured slow release protein, medically proven to be anti catabolic plus whey protein high fraction concentrate which is an undenatured fast release protein providing higher levels of growth factors than normal whey protein concentrates that are denatured i.e. have passed through chemical or heat treatment processes.

Egg white has been added due to its high content of the amino acid cysteine which helps maintain muscle mass and protects the liver. Cysteine also plays an important part in the production of glutathione which is the body's primary anti oxidant which neutralise free radicals and enhances the immune system.

Pro-Dessert is ideal to be taken after any meal to increase protein intake or can be taken as a healthy treat at any time. Each 39 gram sachet* of Pro-Dessert has only 135 calories, yet provides 25 grams of our unique protein blend but with only 4 grams of carbohydrates and 2 grams of saturated fat.

Micellar casein (milk protein) is an undenatured slow released protein, medically proven to be anti-catabolic (stopping muscle breakdown).

Whey protein high fraction concentrate is an undenatured fast released protein containing higher levels of growth factors than normal whey protein concentrates.

Whey protein is a by-product from the manufacture of cheese due to the heat-treating of milk (curds and whey). A lot of the growth factors and the amino acid cysteine become deficient because of this process. CNP's proteins are cold processed.

Amino acids are absorbed by molecular weight and peptide bonded amino acids are heavier than free form.

Egg White has a high level of the amino acid cysteine, which is a key amino acid in maintaining muscle mass and helps protect the liver. Cysteine (Non Essential Amino Acid) plays an important role in the production of Glutathione (Glue-toe-thigh-own) (a small protein), which is the bodies primary anti-oxidant, which neutralises free radicalsand enhances the immune system which is important in the manufacture of muscle growth.

Low DE Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin is an easily digestible form of carbohydrate made from various natural sources (e.g. corn, rice, potato and waxy maize) and is thus available in a range of DE values (dextrose equivalent). A lower D.E. value in a maltodextrin equates to a lower G.I. (glycemic index) and yes this lower G.I. material is both a reality and freely available. Pro Desert contains low D.E. material (same as used in Pro MR)

Maltodextrin is the preferred carbohydrate used in energy foods, due to its solubility, low taste profile, and quick absorption.
