A recent study has shown that small amounts of exercise per day can indeed prevent depression later in life. Depression effects 1 in 5 elderly people in the UK according to the Mental Health Foundation, with women being more likely to suffer from it than men.
There are 1440 minutes in a day so giving up 30 minutes to exercise is something you can all do. If the thought of a gym scares you then why not go for a walk in the park or around your neighbourhood. If you already exercise a minimum of 30 minutes per day, well done and keep it up!!
