The 49th Olympia Results Are In

So the weekend brought in another massive event that took place in Las Vegas, USA. Possibly THE biggest event within the fitness and bodybuilding world that sees just about every fitness athlete and competitor within the states competing. So this weekend just passed saw the annual 49th Mr Olympia show and judging from the pictures and videos it seemed like a fantastic event.

Phil Heath retained his title and is now the 3 time Mr Olympia. Flex Lewis won his category in the 212 competition. Dana Linn Bailey won IFBB Pro figure bringing to the stage an awesome physique. A surprise to me was in the Men's Physique category which is new to the Olympia show. Steve Cook, Bodybuildingcom and Optimum Nutrition Athlete didn't place and saw Mark Anthony being crowned champ. Possibly the most inspiring result of all is that this year there was a record set and not by a male athlete. That's right, a female competitor called Iris Kyle won her ninth Olympia title which sets a record for the most amount of titles at the Olympia, congratulations to her!!

There were other shows and results where other athletes got the rewards they have deserved with all the hard work they have put in. We look forward to next year for the 50th Mr Olympia show.
