Some of you might not like the thought of going to a gym and working out around others to see you. They can be places where you might not feel completely comfortable and that is fine because there are alternatives out there for you. The gym isn't the only place to build a physique and change the way you look, you can do this completely free of charge too. If you don't mind the great outdoors then this is something you should try out

Exercising Outside

Ever thought about taking your training outside even though the darker, colder nights are setting in? This might seem like a foreign concept to you if you aren't used to doing it but believe me when I tell you there are LOTS of people that train outside all year round. The best place to perform a decent workout is in a local park where you get a lot of room to perform different exercises.

What Workout Is Best? 

A question I can feel you want answering is what workout is best for you to do in the park? Well, if you have 30 minutes to 1 hour then I recommend performing a mixture of resistance and cardiovascular exercises that will work your entire body. Park workouts can really help you achieve your goals whether you are wanting to get fit, lose weight or improve muscular condition. YES, you can actually improve your condition through body weight exercises, you just need to work hard enough to notice a difference.

 The Workout 

When entering the park have a look around and see what you can use to replicate certain exercises that you would originally perform in the gym. Parks always have children areas and if you go at times where it isn't busy like early morning or late at night you can use the apparatus to your advantage. Of course, it is meant for children so obviously do this at your own risk.

Exercises

Try to find areas of the park that offer the most versatility, flat is not what you want. So, look out for hills, steps, ramps and areas you can perform circuits to increase heart rate and performance. Be Creative

When you are performing workouts like this outside you have to have an element of creativity because otherwise you will be bored of it. It might be raining outside, cold, windy etc and therefore you have to stay on the move. You need to keep moving and thinking of new ideas on how you can make your workout challenging for yourself.

You can get a really awesome workout just by going from one body weight exercise to another and then mixing it up with some sprints. Keep the tempo up and challenge yourself to be better than your previous workout :)
