Avocado Protein Brownies

Avocado in a brownie mixture?!

This may sound odd at first, but in actual fact, using avocados as a healthy alternative for butter taste amazing!

You don’t actually taste the avocado, it just enables the mixture to maintain its structure and consistency when baking.

I like to mix in my favourite protein powders such as XL Nutrition’s’ XTRA Whey in Chocolate to create the perfect High Protein Chocolate Brownies.

Another huge benefit of this recipe is that you can manipulate the amount of carbohydrates based on your macro nutrient requirements for the day, for example, I like to make keto brownies by using almond flour instead of regular flour.

This is also a great way of hitting your fat intake for the day from these quality ingredients such as the avocado and almond flour.


1 Scoop XL Nutrition XTRA Whey – Chocolate

1 Ripe Avocado

1 tsp Baking Powder

1 tbsp Cocoa Powder

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 Free Range Eggs

50ml Unsweetened Almond Milk

1 tbsp Stevia Sweetener


Use a strong blender or food processor to belnd all of the ingredients together until smooth.

The consistency should be a thick batter like texture.

Pre heat your oven to 150 degrees, then grease a brownie pan using your choice of 1 calorie cooking spray.

Place in the oven for 15-20 mins.

To check to see if its ready, simply pierce the centre of the brownie with a knife, if the knife comes out clean then you know its good to go!

You can add your choice of toppings to this recipe, maybe some cookie pieces or chocolate chips.
