Battle Of London Warm Up

OK, so the bags are packed, hotel is booked, food is prepped and the tickets to the Battle of London 2014 are burning a hole in my pocket! Can't wait to get to the Copper Box Arena in Stratford, London where the best athletes in the UK hopefully bring their A- game in order to take home the £5000 prize purse, as well as various other prizes...Sam Briggs (last years female champion) was awarded an Olympic bar along with (and more importantly) the title 'Britains Fittest Female Athlete'!

It's a bright and early start this weekend when myself and Scott will hop onto the A12 from our base in Braintree, Essex and embark on a road trip to Laaaannddddaaannn mate! Big Rick Duncan (my usual road trip companion) will be at home holding the baby, so it's just the two of us Scotty, ha! Oh, and it's ya birthday on Sunday big man, many happy returns! So lots to look forward to this weekend, and we will be blogging live from the venue tomorrow and Sunday keeping anyone that might be interested in the loop!

Putting things into perspective however, we would like to recognise the Battle of London organisers who have donated £5 from every extra ticket sold to support Kevin Ogar, the Crossfitter who was tragically paralysed from the waist down when a freak accident saw the athletes bar bounce onto his back, severing his spine.

On that sobering note, me and Scott bid you all a fantastic weekend, and if any of you guys are attending too, we hope to see you there!

Night all.
