Just a quick tip for you guys…carry a tub of Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) in the car/ gym bag wherever you go for when, for whatever reason, you find yourself training on an empty stomach. The reason BCAAs are so useful is because they are particularly high in the most anabolic (muscle building) of all amino acids…Leucine. Should you find yourself in a position where you need to train but are worried that you haven’t had adequate protein or carbs in preparation, then BCAAs will stave off muscle catabolism (breakdown), as well as keep your growth hormones elevated.
Using BCAAs When Training On Empty Spares Muscle Protein Catabolism
