A One Off Binge On Alcohol May Adversely Affect Your Health!

Call me a spoil sport, or the bringer of what has the potential to be bad news to some, but this is the findings of a recent study that looked at the risks associated with a single bout of binge drinking, and I personally think it’s good to know! The researchers found that excessive alcohol consumption may cause leaky gut resulting in bacteria leaking into the circulatory system, increasing the level of endotoxins in the blood. An increase in gut permeability (how leaky the gut is) has been associated with an array of health issues including the most common alcohol related disease alcoholic liver disease.

This may not be cool or popular to say, and granted it is only one study in isolation, but if you value your health then think carefully the next time you neck 5 shots to catch up with your pals…seriously.
