‘Blue Monday’ My A***! Remember, YOU Are In Control Of How YOU Feel!

So today is supposedly the most depressive day of the year….really, why’s that then, because some influential person woke up one morning and thought ‘you know what, Christmas has passed, so has New Years, it’s gotta be time to feel sorry for myself and down’? I mean is that really the case, is today that depressive? Well, call me controversial and insensitive, but sorry guys, I for one DO NOT adhere to this motto that we should all feel down because it’s the first Monday back to work/ school/ uni for most! Please don’t get me wrong, it’s never easy going back to work and re-inserting yourself into that routine, but remember your mood and perception of the day (and days ahead) is COMPLETELY in your hands. Yes people and circumstances will do their best to drag you down from time to time, but in times like this you’ll do well to remember that YOU and only YOU are making yourself feel like that. ‘BLU MUNDAY’ or whatever this silly business is, is most definitely NOT in my vocabulary…and shouldn’t be in yours either.

Count your blessings every day, for even the bluest of days has a glint of light that just needs your approval to shine through!
