Jamie Mcdonald, 27 years old, British and a complete hero in some people's eyes has recently completed a charity run of 5,000 miles. Dressed as a superhero he became the first person to run across Canada without anyone else and crossed the finish line in Vancouver almost 12 months from when he started his journey. Raising a staggering £150,000 he is simply one of life's amazingly talented people who want to do some good in this world!!
5,000 miles? What is that?! To put you in the picture properly, this distance is the equivalent of more than 200 marathons in 275 days!! Obviously this was no easy task and he faced many problems through weather, sleeping arrangements, food etc! Jamie has run for more than 2,000 miles with chronic tendonitis, gone through more than 10 pairs of trainers, became one of few British people to have been 'White Hatted' in Calgary - joining the likes of Prince William and Kate Middleton - and also permanently injured and misshapen his foot.
HIGH 5 Jamie, and we wish you all the best in any future campaigns you take part in!! Now, enjoy your rest superhero!!
