Are You Having Too Much Caffeine??

Did you know you shouldn't be having more than 300-400mg of caffeine per day and if you are pregnant, you do not want to exceed 200mg. Caffeine is great to help pick you up if you are tired but should you be relying on it throughout the day? I believe the most important way of looking at this is by assessing your tolerance to caffeine. If you are sensitive to it then you need to make sure you watch how much you have, if you aren't then you are more likely to get away with having more but making sure you stick within the recommended dosages.

So have a look at how much coffee, tea, pre workouts and fizzy drinks you consume in a day. Are you having too much? In an average mug of coffee there is 100-140mg. A tea contains 75mg. A pre workout is between 150-200mg and fizzy drinks/energy drinks are anywhere between 80-100mg.

Next time you think you need a 'pick me up' ask yourself, do you really need it??
