The World Health Organisation is asking people to reduce sugar intake and to make it a priority in order to look after your health. They are asking people to consume no more than 12 teaspoons of sugar and to try to aim for six to tackle obesity and tooth decay. 12 teaspoons of sugar equates to 50g of sugar and this is the maximum amount you should be consuming on a daily basis.
