Creatine : Why It Doesn’t Matter When You Take It


It is a common misconception that creatine MUST be consumed before exercise, the reason this is frustrating is because… it DOESN’T. Although there may be a placebo (psychological) benefit to consuming creatine before exercise, the fact is that creatine is stored and used when it is needed. Consequently, it doesn’t matter so much when you consume it, but more importantly, what you consume it with. So many people take creatine but fail to have a protein shake of some sort. Remember, creatine is the fuel to increase muscle mass, protein is the building blocks!
