A Customers Review On Optimum Nutrition Platinum Pre : Pre – Workout Supplement

Michail is our friend from Greece, he is an influential chap in the fitness industry back in his home country who decided to share his views on Optimum Nutrition’s Platinum Pre. This is an extensive review which will give you a fellow weight lifter/athletes perspective on this very popular pre workout supplement. We hope you find it helpful, and thanks again Michail!

Title: Best and only NO I could ever use!

Before I start with the review and some will see some average grades, I have to say I have a problem with NOs normally and I tried more than 10 different NOs (and many more in samples). I have to also say that only few of them can affect positively to me. As you know, NOs are affecting each person differently and to me, usually the do not do really good work. They make me really badly nauseous, till I take it out of me. Nothing like that happened with Platinum. And now some analysis of the review.

Pumps: 8.5/10

If you want pumps, then probably that is your pre-workout! It clearly gave me some more pumps than the normal and I can see it both in mirror and when I am stretching, I have bigger distance between my hands behind my back than usually during exercise. It also stays for quite some time and that made me even more happy!

Power: 7/10

I have anyway too much power for my kg in a professional level, so I do not know how it would help in that. Still, I found out that even though I did not make more kg (did not even try), I could make them slightly easier and did not feel the difficulty I usually did. Not big difference, still a difference! 35kg/each hand in dumbbell exercise and 300kg/one leg in bench press, are not few for a 1.80h/80kg man.

Energy: 6/10

I have not seen anything special, still some increase in stamina was on the road!

Focus: 6/10

Same as energy. Usually I am anyway very focused and maybe that is a reason I saw only a slight difference in that.

Side Effects: 9.5/10

Absolutely nothing! I was expecting the nauseous feeling and I just prayed it would not be much. Still, no side-effect. I too double dose and still no side-effect! Yipiiii! Some pre-wo I can finally use! Only side-effect that took the 0.5 point, is that it felt a little bit itchy my body, 10-15min I took the pre-workout. But it so mild that it did not annoy me and only for about 10mins

Taste: 9/10

For Pre-Workout it is pretty damn good! I use more than 600g of water per scoop, so I never had a problem burning my lips or whatever people are complaining. You have to be clever taking these supplements and use them right! ;)

Overall: 7.5

If someone wants a pre-workout, then Platinum is a pretty good choice. For me? My best Pre-Wo till now! I loved the pumps, zero side-effects and the slight help it gave in other levels too. Why I give only 7.5? Other than I am very strict? Well, guess what? I normally because of side-effects I can not take pre-wo and as I said, they do not work on me! But ON Platinum, is a pre-wo that makes me thinking to use it again! ;)

NOTE: Optimum Nutrition Platinum Pre is a decent product delivering Caffeine, beta alanine, L- arginine and Leucine making it a well balanced product. However other products (in our opinion) are coming to the fore which we feel will deliver as much and more for your money.
