Did you know there are significant differences in the meat and dairy produce you eat from depending on how the cow has been fed. It may sound like an obvious statement to make but I am sure many of you when you are in the shopping aisles and you see ''grassfed'' you might not initially know the difference between that and grainfed cows. Well, grassfed is certainly the way to go and it is far the healthier option for your body and for the cows.
Grassfed cows are healthier and aren't pumped full of antibiotics, hormones and other chemicals to help them grow. They aren't confined and are free to graze around in their fields. A grassfed cow will also take a few years to mature and grow whereas a grainfed cow is usually matured within a year and ready to be slaughtered. Finally, grassfed cows are healthier, contain less fat and have more vitamins and minerals when compared to a grainfed cow.
The next time you go shopping and you see meat produce with the grassfed logo on the packaging you know you will be giving your body the best nutrients
