How many of you who lift have heard of the saying ''Do you even lift brah''? Quite common within the fitness industry to hear this it is usually said in a joking manner about someone who lifts but isn't seeing results. Do you say this to your friends to motivate them or to insult them because they aren't seeing results? Basically, in order to see results you must make sure you have the right mentality which means staying positive and upbeat even when you don't see the results you want. So here is what you need to do...

Forget The Naysayers 

If you have started exercising it is because you  want to better yourself in some way. Your reasons are your own and I won't ask you to get into them but if they are to gain more muscle, lose body fat, get fitter and generally be more healthy then you need to make sure you listen to yourself and no one else. Forget what everyone else says and focus on what you want to achieve because at the end of the day, you are the only one that matters.

Focus On Your Goal

Along the way in your journey you are going to face different obstacles and distractions which will try to set you off course.  Lifting weights to reach a goal is a tough job and you need to remember that the process can be quite slow. There are ways in which you can increase the rate at which you get to your final product, I will cover these at the end.

Arnold's Mindset

The great Arnold Schwarzenegger had the best mindset when he was told that he wouldn't reach his goals. He never gave up and he constantly reminded himself of his end goal which is what you also need to do. Your goal could take a few months or years to complete but you must remember why you are doing it as this will drive you to the finish line.

How To Speed Up Your Chances Of Success

Preparation is everything so make sure you are doing everything you can to your advantage. A good way to keep on top of this is by making daily lists which you can stick to and follow to keep you on track. These lists could be of your training and making sure you are eating the right type of foods on a daily basis. Using supplements is also going to help you stay on track and reach your goal quicker. These are great because it means even if you can't eat you can still use a convenient supplement which is going to help you.

So the next time someone says to you, ''Do you even lift Brah''? Just smile and remember that your journey might take a little longer than others but with constant dedication and motivation, you will get there!!
