A very quick post on why you should be eating for your muscles and health NOT your tastebuds. How many of you stick to the same foods week in week out but are maybe called crazy for doing so? Do people see what you eat on a regular basis but think you are boring and dull with your diet? I am pretty certain that many of you will have experienced this and often face people who suggest you brighten your meals up because they are too dull. IGNORE these comments, here is why....
Repeat Meals
Eating the same meals day in day out for months and months sets the level of physique you are going to obtain. Many of you including myself who eat very similar meals every day do it because we know how beneficial it is to our bodies and it isn't always a pleasant experience. Believe me, eating chicken and rice or meat and sweet potato with vegetables all the time kinda gets a bit boring, but we do it because we know the results we will get are amazing.
Repeat Results
Eating the right foods is so important for you to get the right results. No matter what your goal is, lose weight, get fitter, build muscle etc it mostly depends on eating ''correct foods''. This means limiting sugar intake, foods high in fat and eating less fast food, chocolates etc! It means being strict so that you reach your end goal, you should realise by now that eating the above ''rubbish'' isn't going to help you in anyway.
Can't Eat For Tastebuds
Unfortunately much of the food which taste real good to us again isn't going to help us achieve the physique we want. There is a good reason why top bodybuilders like Jay Cutler, Phil Heath and Arnold Schwarzenegger eat bland food and that is because these meal get you results. This kind of food doesn't always taste the nicest, you aren't always going to want to eat it, but hey, results over what your food taste likes.
Why You Aren't Seeing Results
I believe this to be one of the greatest reasons why you aren't seeing the results you want. Change your ways with your diet so that you do start to see results. Let me tell you again, you cannot eat for your tastebuds if you want to lose weight or gain muscle. If you want a flat stomach or a toned six pack, you can't eat for your tastebuds. So what do you do... Well you will need to make some sacrifices and be disciplined towards reaching your goals.
So the point in this post is to make sure you stay on your journey and you remember that when you start walking the life of being a fitter and healthier you, your choices are made by how it will help you grow and develop. Eating should be for your muscles and health and not for your taste buds. Keep going, keep eating healthy, you can do it :)
