Another conflicting study has been carried out on people who are middle aged with links to a diet high in protein could cause cancer and is more likely to increase your chances of dying early. The study states eating foods like red meat, milk and cheese is as bad as smoking 20 cigarettes a day!!
The study which was carried out on people between the age of 50 and 65 years old shows that those who ate a diet high in animal proteins are more likely to suffer from disease and death. However a diet in plant based protein such as pea, beans etc suggest no direct relation to disease.
How accurate is this study however is another matter as it doesn't go into detail about how much protein they consumed and what types? If the protein they consumed was processed or from a fatty source then we could understand a bit more. What are your thoughts on this? To read more check out the link below....
