Fats Do Not Make You FAT!!

A common myth within the fitness and health industry is that Fats make you fat. Well I'm here to tell you that this DOESN'T have to be the case.

Lets talk about the role of fat within your diet. Fat is a Macronutrient which ideally should be eaten with Protein and Carbohydrates, which are also part of the macronutrient family. Healthy Fat is used like carbohydrates as an energy source and therefore cannot be stored as fat.

Fat is also a great filler for your body. Once consumed it will send a chemical message to your brain telling you are full. So this is great for those that are looking to control what you eat. Healthy sources of fat also contain good amounts of protein and are good for your skin.

Some useful sources of good healthy fats are:

Organic peanut/cashew/almond butter, nuts and seeds, avocados and oils such as coconut oil.
