I’m proud to say that my governing body, the British Dietetic Association (BDA) is supporting this campaign that is targeted at quashing those types of diets that cause peaks and troughs in weight! Quite simply, good health is down to making good food decisions, and not just in the short term…but in the long term too!
These extreme diets have been proven to help you lose some weight in the short term, but in the long run it is so common for someone to not only regain the weight, but also face a compensatory spike making them heavier than when they started!
