DAILY ARTICLE logo

Here at Discount Supplements we understand that you do not always have the luxury of working a 9-5 job, hit the gym and then go home. For some of you, your lifestyles are rather hectic and it involves spending time away from home which can impact on your exercise routines. With your health and lifestyle being a priority here I have decided to give you some pointers on what I class as essential travel goodies which you should be using while away. I will also add a brief description of what exercises you can do with each bit of kit so that you aren't left there wondering what to do. Here goes....

SwissBall

Possibly the best piece of kit you can use in your hotel room is a Swiss ball which can target most areas of your body. This dynamic ball can be used to for squatting, working your chest muscles and developing a good core. This ball helps increase stability and strength within your abdominal region because of the balance aspect in certain exercises.

KettleBell

A kettlebell on it's own can be used for many different exercises such as shoulder press, upright row, squatting, arm workouts and more. Combining the kettelbell and the swissball is a great combination while in a circuit so why not use both and get the most out of your workouts in your room.

Skipping Rope

Ok, so skipping in your room might be slightly in practical so why not take this exercise outside? Skipping as a warm up or at the end of your workout can seriously increase your stamina and endurance. Skipping will also help develop forearm and shoulder strength, not to mention a great burn from the calves themselves whilst bouncing on the spot. Short burst intervals of this exercise will leave you sweating and gasping for some fresh water.

Resistance Band

Using a resistance band which is similar to being on a cable machine in the gym is another fine piece of equipment that is going to work your upper and lower body effectively. Chest flies, chest press, shoulder press and arm exercises can be performed using this band.

Your fitness goals do not need to suffer just because you cannot get into a gym, so instead make sure you give yourself every opportunity to succeed and stick with the plan.
