Going On Holiday? Not Sure To Workout And What To Do.... Check This Out

Building up to your holiday you are likely to be exercising a lot so you can show off your hard work you have put in right? The early morning and late night sessions, healthy eating and being good for the past however many weeks before jetting off to the beach to relax and enjoy a holiday is what it is all about. Do you get itchy feet however after a few days on holiday? Do you feel guilty for not working out or do you make sure you go somewhere that allows you to keep up your training? Well, if you are looking for some tips here they are, this is what I will be doing when I am away...

Packing My Suitcase

Even before I go away on holiday, I always make sure I pack some trainers and work out gear. Failure to plan is planning to fail, no work out gear means you 100% definitely won't work out. So, by taking my stuff I know I am more likely to get a few work outs in whilst still enjoying my time away.

Gym Or No Gym?

If you have been exercising for a while leading up to your holiday the first few days might be a good idea to rest and let your body just play catch up. If you have a gym close by then you can grab a few workouts in towards the latter stages of your holiday if you want to do that. However you don't have to get a workout in at the gym if there isn't one close to you, look around you, there is always something you can use to get a good workout in. Can you go for a run? Could you use a local park that is close to you? Could you do some body weight exercises that involve a small space to perform them in? All of these are options to you and will help you keep to your fitness goals :)

Eating

A big part of going on holiday is to relax and enjoy yourself right? Although the last thing you want to do is for 7-14 days depending how long you go away for, is ruin all the hard work you have put in to achieve how you look. Therefore, keeping an eye on what you eat and not over eating excessively on bad foods and drink will keep you looking great. Making smarter choices even when on holiday isn't boring, ask yourself do you really need it?

Remember most of should be exercising and looking after our bodies as this is our lifestyle and not just a short term fix. If you started exercising just to look a bit better for a holiday, chances are you aren't really going to care about the above. However, if you are like me and love staying healthy and fit then you will find a way to keep up your fitness levels when on holiday. Have a great time away and don't forget to pack your fitness gear ;)
