Rebecca Johnson, 30 years old had a one hour personal training session with a personal trainer and pushed herself very hard. She went into the session with the thought 'no pain, no gain'. Not long after her session she was rushed to hospital with stiff and swollen arms, she was suffering from rhabdomyolysis which causes her kidneys to fail.
The reason this happened was because she overdid it and pushed herself too far. This is a warning to many of you who push yourself more than you should and to listen to your body. It is also a gentle reminder to make sure you eat the right foods before your workout so you are ready for your session, carbohydrates are a great source of energy for your body. Rebecca is out of hospital now and much better :)
