Are Injuries Holding You Back???

It was only last night I was in the gym working out when a friend introduced me to someone who is experiencing niggles in the hip which affects him from performing certain exercises. He refuses to do squats because of the pain and is thinking of giving up shoulder pressing and other exercises. Sometimes walking hurts him and this could be down to one simple factor, he isn't stretching enough.

Did you know stretching is one of the least favourite exercises to perform and not enough of you do it. You should be stretching for as long as you are performing resistance training. However, for many of us there simply isn't enough time. I suggest you stretch at least 10 minutes in the morning and in the evening. Stretching will enhance muscle growth and relieve your body of any stiffness and tightness. If you are starting to feel niggles then please address them and start stretching more.

Oh and yes I did give the guy in the gym some stretching exercises to perform, I will get him back squatting ;)
