Introducing American Alpine Ski Racer Lindsey Vonn… You’re Welcome!

FACT-OF-THE-DAY-logo

So granted, Lindsey Vonn isn’t new on the scene of Alpine Skiing, but if you’re not really a skiing kind of person then you might not have heard of this American athlete/ model. She is rather successful, she has won 4 world cup championships, 1 of only 2 women to have ever done so (the other was Annemarie Moser-Proll…thanks Wikipedia). Her most recent World Cup title came in 2012 after a stint of now titles since 2010. Add to this 6 consecutive World Cup season titles in the downhill discipline from 2008 through to 2013, 4 consecutive titles in super-G from 2009 2012, and 3 consecutive titles in the combined  from 2010 to 2012. That’s some consistency right there!

Now by no means do I wish to detract from this athletes incredible achievements, it is after all not very common for Americans to win Alpine Ski Racing events, but Vonn has managed to dominate since her gold medal in the downhill at the 2010 winter Olympics. However, just look at the lady, and at 30 years old and as physically fit as they come…I’d bet you’ll be tuning into the next Alpine Ski event come the next season!
