We all assume that the odd fast food treat won’t do any damage to our health but new research suggests that every single junk food meal you consume (high in saturated fat) is detrimental to the function of your arteries. However, eating a Mediterranean meal (fish and vegetables)rich in mono-and poly-unsaturated fatty acids does no damage to arteries.
Results showed that participant’s arteries dilated 24% less following the junk food meal.
