A diet which has been specifically formulated in Denmark is bringing more people to focus on eating lots of fish when looking to lose weight. They also only recommend eating foods in season and along with the fish having lots of fruit and vegetables with less meat. Overweight Danes on the healthy Nordic diet lost three times as much weight as those eating more typical fare such as meat balls, pizza and spaghetti.
