Some of the biggest guys or girls you might see in the gym or on the sporting field may appear to have their nutrition on point. You can’t grow lean muscle mass and strip off excess body fat without perfect nutrition….can you? Well actually, yes you can, and I’d argue that a larger number of people are deficient in vital trace elements and minerals such as iron, zinc and magnesium, and vitamins such as the B vits and vitamin D than you might think!
The point is this…just because something is looking great on the outside doesn’t mean all is running swimmingly on the inside. With all of the emphasis many place on getting big, DO NOT overlook the importance of nutritional balance and over all adequacy. The consequence of vitamin and mineral deficiencies may not show immediately, but they’ll soon make themselves known in the future!
