Metabolic Typing? Is There Such A Thing And What Type Are You?

FACT-OF-THE-DAY-logo

Metabolic typing is a simple way to assess whether your body requires more of a certain type of macronutrient compared to another. It is also an effective way to change from a poor diet to a healthy and balanced one. There are 3 different types, a protein type, carbohydrate type and a mixed type consisting of all macronutrients. Do you do this without even realising there was such a process as metabolic typing? To find out officially what type you are you can fill out a questionnaire, answering questions about how you feel after consuming different types of foods.

In my opinion, trial and error in what foods you eat will tell you the same thing. If you workout regularly you should consume a good amount of all three macronutrient groups because your body needs the fuel and nutrients to recover properly. Why not try new approaches with your diet and log how you feel after consuming different types of foods.
