Do you often find that after a heavy gym session your body is aching and does it take your body a few days to recover properly? After a leg day how many of you struggle to get up and get out of your seat throughout the day? I am sure many of you will know this feeling especially after squatting the day before!! Did you know that by performing very light cardiovascular exercise can help reduce DOMS which is also known as delayed onset muscle soreness.

So if your legs are aching the best thing for you could be a light walk as this promotes an increase of blood flow to these leg muscles. More blood flowing to the muscles will also increase a surge of oxygen which will help reduce the acidity within the muscles. a light cardio session alongside an effective stretch after will help keep your muscles relaxed and free from being tight. Next time you feel the aches and pains perform the above ;)
