Muster Some Muscle with Mustard!

The journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) published evidence that supports the anabolic properties of mustard, and its potential role as a muscle building stimulator! The yellow stuff contains a plant steroid called homobrassinolide, which is a type of steroid….but without the negative stigma attached!

This plant steroid promotes muscle protein synthesis, meaning a serving of this with your steak or nut roast might be the boost your muscles need (Esposito, Komarnytsky, Shapses et al. 2011)!
