Oldest Virgin Money London Marathon Runner Set To Run His 17th London Marathon...at 89!

Paul Freedman is set to run his 17th London Marathon on the 13th April, 2014. Preparations have been made, training is almost complete so all that’s left to do is make it around the arduous 26 miles and 385 yards that stands between him and the finish line. The fact that he has already completed 16 marathons is incredible in itself, but to be about to complete another (his 23rd marathon in total) at 89 years of age is quite incredible…especially considering he suffered a heart attack in 2004. Incidentally, at the time of suffering a heart attack, Mr Freedman hadn’t missed a single marathon since 1991, continuing to complete yearly marathons right up to the present day!
