Not our usual sort of post, but this is disgusting and interesting in equal much so that we had to share...

Yep, Scientists have delved into the naval and found that it harbours the kind of bio-diverse bacterial ecosystem you are most likely to find in the Amazon rainforest! The Micrococcus family of bacteria reside in your belly button; this is one of sixty-five different species of bacteria that live there!

We always knew that personal hygiene is paramount, but I bet you didn’t know you had your very own Bear Grills residing in your belly button!
