Samsung Gear Fit : Would You Wear A Fitness Wearable?

I personally have never been one to jump onto a fitness craze, I’d prefer to be of the ‘no gear, bit of an idea’ ilk, but there are occasions where I ask myself why I didn’t jump onto this sooner…Crossfit being one of the few things! However, I’m still not sure what to make of these fitness wearbale's that are hitting the market of late, is it destined to be one of those things I wish I got into sooner?

The Gear Fit is Samsungs most recent fitness wearable that is somewhat more understated than their previous Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. The Gear Fits primary function is to track when you walk, run, cycle or hike. It also has an inbuilt heart rate monitor and a OLED flexi screen. All of this is great, but lets hope the heart rate monitor is accurate unlike many others on the market.

Do fitness enthusiasts need all of these wearable bits and bobs, are they easy ways for companies to make money knowing the vulnerability and lengths customers will go to get an edge. I probably won’t be investing, but that’s just me, I’d rather spend that money on a good tub of whey protein and optimise my performance that way.
