Who do you listen to when it comes to fitness and exercise?
Here at Discount Supplements we publish information on peer reviewed, science backed information on a daily basis doing our best to keep things current and interesting, but more importantly, reliable! As an avid gym goer I consider myself fit and able to apply my knowledge to facilitate my fitness goals. This said, variation is the root to keeping things interesting, challenging and productive, and so I refer back to my initial question…’Who do you listen to when it comes to fitness and exercise’…the physician that heels many yet disregards himself, or the physician that heels many, as well as thy self? I would go for the latter.
So I refer you to the physician, or should I say the personal trainer that heels thy self, the personal trainer that PRACTICES WHAT HE PREACHES!
Scott is one of the most intense trainers I know, the earphones go in, the conversation stops as business commences. Sadly I cannot convey the degree of intensity it takes to hit such targets through text, it’s something you have to feel, but for now I ask that you take my word for it…it’s intense!
What we are able to do is deliver you with the training and supplement regimen recommended by a renowned and respected trainer such as Scott Riches. Below, Scott gives you his own PERSONAL training regime so that you can have the tools to obtain similar results. As for the intensity and work ethic…I’m afraid that is down to you!
Hi guys, it's a new week, and that means new challenges and new goals to smash.
I hope you have used my chest workout that I posted last week and kept motivated. Here is another post, this time on back, to keep you focused throughout the rest of this week.
I want to start off by writing about my current pre workout supplement that I am taking and why I take it. At present I am using BSN No Xplode, lemonade flavour. I find this supplement really ignites my workouts! I feel super pumped and my sessions benefit from it. I take this 30mins before my workout on an empty stomach. Why take a pre workout?? I feel without it I don't have that cutting edge and pump to get me through my workouts. I strongly recommend taking a pre workout supplement such as BSN No Xplode and having a break for approx 3-4 weeks once you have finished a tub. Giving yourself a break from it will stop your body getting used to the supplement and maximising its effects.
So I trained Back yesterday. My routine for back changes every few weeks as the back is such a broad area. There are lots of exercises you can use to hit certain areas in the back. I normally split it up by what areas I need to work on.
Here is my back workout I performed yesterday:
Wide grip pull ups (using weight such as a weighted belt)
Seated lat pull down
One arm rows
T bar rows
Again, 3-4 sets with a rep range of 8-12 repetitions which is the same training theory as when I trained my chest last week. Each time I complete a set and reach 10/12 reps I increase the weight so I stimulate growth within my muscles.
There are lots of other exercises I also use for my back sessions, if you want more of an insight get in contact via my twitter account @scottriches (scottrichesfitness).
Stay motivated and I hope your training and eating is going well this week.
Stay tuned as next week I will be posting my leg session and talking about my protein supplements I use.
