Sex Before Sport Is Bad : The Myth, The Horrible Myth!

The legendary footballer George Best was famous for having sex the day of a football match. Today, an act such as this would be frowned upon beyond measure, but why?

It was previously thought that sexual activity before sport sapped drive, determination and strength, as well as reduced concentration, but a new study suggests quite the opposite. The study suggests that those people who had sex the night before a sporting event had higher testosterone levels the next day than those who had not had sex. Along side this, sex leg muscle strength, grip strength, reaction time or flexibility was no different in those people who had had sex the night before.

Heck, maybe it’s time to rewrite the rule book! Happy days!
