How Sexual Intercourse Improves Your Brain Power...Won't Forget That In A Hurry Will You Chaps!?

It all stems (no pun intended) from sex’s ability to increase the production of neurons. The mechanisms behind this revelation is thought to be linked to the increased delivery of oxygen to the brain which increases the capacity for the brain to generate new neurons. It has been well documented how sex can reduce stress as well as helping you burn fat through the physical exertion and elevated metabolism, so this additional news seems to validate the implementing of the ‘act’ further still.

The new research conducted on mice shows that love-making significantly increased the generation of neurons located in the brain, specifically the hippocampus which is the area of the brain responsible for the formation of long-term memory. Notably, forcing the mice into not having intercourse led to a reduction in their intelligence…need we say anymore. Ok, the findings are in mice, but this is most likely to be transferrable to humans so lets start sowing the seed (pun intended) with our loved ones!
