There could be lots of reasons why you aren't seeing the results you want from your gym sessions and you need to address these so that you can make the progress you want. The gym is a popular and fun place to be but when it comes down to making progress you need to be resilient in your approach, this is your body and your goal which you want to reach. A sloppy attitude giving half assed effort is only going to give you half assed results which will not see you reach your goal. It doesn't matter what your goal is, weight loss, muscle gain, get fit, be healthier, it all starts with having a good work ethic when in the gym. Here are some ways to improve your gym session without having to spend any money whatsoever...

Business Meeting

Treat your gym session like you would a business meeting, don't turn up late and don't turn up unprepared. This is the time when you are going to make a real difference to the way you look and feel. Be sure to stick to your schedule of training sessions and mimic this like you would meetings at work, you wouldn't just cancel one out of the blue so don't cancel a training session either.

Phones Away

We already spend enough time on our mobile phones in a day so when it comes to your workouts, try to keep these out of sight. Your social media pages, whats app texts and other bits and pieces can all wait for an hour, once you've finished your session. Keep distractions like your mobile phone out of sight, if you have to play music off it, stick it on airplane mode so you won't receive any notifications.

Quit Talking

One of the biggest problems why you won't reach your goals is because when you workout, you decide to talk to your friends rather than actually working out. It's a common problem I see in many gyms, minutes upon minutes of talking when really you should be working out and saving the talking for after the gym. Ever heard of the phrase 'Shut up and train'? Well, this is where it all stems from, people talking too much in the gym and still expecting the same results as the guy who gets on with his workouts. Truth is, you won't get the same results if you just want to mess around and not crack on with what it is you need to do.

Fail To Plan

When you fail to plan you plan to fail, so make sure you walk into the gym with a game plan and ready to smash your workout without any excuses.
