Are You Getting Enough Sleep To Grow Your Physique??

In order to build a good physique you have to allow your body to rest and recover? We all know that we grow when we are out of the gym, or not working out. When we are working out we are breaking down our muscles and so the best time we can recover properly is during sleep. Some of you will sleep for 7-8 hours a night, others not so many, but the importance of sleeping is to make sure that you are getting quality sleep and by this I mean REM.

What is REM?

REM means Rapid Eye Movement and this is when you are in your deepest sleep. When you have your deep sleep it allows your body to release HGH (human growth hormone) and this is needed for muscular development. As you age your HGH scale falls and dips really bad, usually around the ages of 25-30 years old. So basically speaking, you could be sleeping enough, but not releasing enough HGH because your sleep isn't deep enough.

How Can You Get Deeper Sleep?

Well, here are some ways that I make sure I get a good amount of sleep so that my body continuously grows and adapts to how I want it to look, check it out.

Spray Magnesium - Spraying magnesium into your joints allows this amazing mineral to be absorbed into your body and get straight to work. Magnesium has incredible benefits like reducing stress, aches and pains and helps relieve tight muscles. This mineral is something you should be using approximately 30 minutes before you sleep.

Avoid Bright Lights - Once the spray is on you want to make sure you avoid bright lights that do not help you relax. Therefore avoid checking any electrical devices which causes you to stay awake. Instead read a book or listen to some calming music which again relaxes you and tells your body you are ready for sleep.

Increase Melatonin - Certain foods help you sleep because they contain a good amount of melatonin which sends you off into a deep sleep. A bowl of oats, handful of almonds or cherries are great for this.

Relax With A Drink - Nope, not alcohol. This is almost a given it will keep you up tossing and turning. Instead opt for a relaxing herbal tea such as chamomile as it helps your body switch off.

Avoid Caffeine - There are some people (maybe even yourself reading this) who are not sensitive to caffeine and can have coffee immediately before bed and still drift off. However, more sensitive souls should remember to watch how much caffeine you are having and at what time. Try to limit it after 4pm in the day.

Summary

Give yourself every possible opportunity by trying these methods so that you can take your physique to the next level. Remember it isn't about how many hours you get, it is all about the amount of REM you get which puts you in that deep sleep.
