Need For Speed

Later on today, I will post an article on the limits of human running speed. But for now, let me leave you with a few amazing facts.

Usain Bolt is currently the fastest man on the planet. Did you know that he can reach a top speed of 28mph (4mph more than what scientists believed was our body’s limit).

He also has a substantial stride length of 2.44m, which means that when he ran the 100m world record time (9.58secs) in Berlin in 2009, he only needed 41 strides to get him from the starting block to crossing the finish line...

Are we limitless in our endeavours to increase running speed year on year or are we close to reaching our maximum potential?
