Sports Relief 2014 : The UK Unites For A Worthy Cause… Could This Be The Best Ever!?

In terms of raising money for charities and similar worthy causes around the UK, I sure hope the money raised will surpass all previous hauls. People have done so much to raise cash for causes, and as a Brit I couldn’t be prouder! However, with regards to the entertainment scheduled for the show (which of course contributes to raising money too) tonight, starting at 7pm on BBC 1 the line up could hardly get better. We’ve got the likes of John Bishop and Lord Coe in a ‘clash of the titans’, David Walliams does a Mastermind sketch whilst Cheryl Cole speaks out on Malaria and the implications it has on millions the world over (even us Brits as Cheryl knows all too well).

Great effort by thousands!

Most will have heard of the celebrity efforts made to raise money for sport relief including Davina Mccals heroic efforts that saw here run, cycle and swim more than 450 miles from Edinburgh to London through what was the worst British weather in decades…typical! She succeeded in raising close to 1 million pounds. BBC Radio one’s Jo Whiley completed an incredible 26 mile treadmill challenge and fellow DJ Nick Grimshaw helped to cycle 1000 miles all in aid of Sport Relief, he raised 100,000+ for the cause. Of course there are so many other exceptional efforts made by thousands which might have included cycling, running or other charitable sporting endeavours! The beauty is that tonights show will exhibit these incredible individuals and celebrate all that they have achieved.

Tune in to BBC 1 tonight at 7pm to catch all of the entertainment, see the funds raised as well as celebrating the millions of lives the efforts make a difference to!
