Statins Thought To Improve Erectile Function Shows New Meta- Analysis

A meta- analysis is basically a study that has amalgamated all of the relevant research in a specific area, looked at the findings and concluded an overall consensus on a subject/ question. Recently a meta- analysis looked into men with high cholesterol and erectile dysfunction who also took statins. The study found that as well as reducing cholesterol the statins also managed to improve erectile function! With this revelation it is widely thought that peoples adherence to statins may rise (pun intended), meaning patients can reduce their cholesterol, reduce their total risk of heart disease as well as getting a bit more exercise in…if you get my meaning ;)
