How To Stay Ahead And Keep On Top Of Your Game

A big question is how do you stay on top of your game when you are trying to look and feel great? You know those times when you are eating well, your training sessions are on point and everything seems to be going awesome, how do you stay like that? When you look towards your role models for inspiration and motivation you might ask yourself, how do that do it? How do they stay in amazing shape all year round, well here it is. Here are my quick tips for you on how you can stay ahead of others and keep on top of your game.

Listen To You

First and foremost you should always listen to your body and remember that you ultimately know how you feel, so pay attention to the signals and the tell tale signs. Don't ignore the fact that if you are feeling groggy that maybe you need a day of rest, when you actually think about it, you might be due one. How many of you constantly work out but don't give yourself enough time to rejuvenate and recover properly? Many of us do it because we realise our bodies are deigned to go through the paces, but also realise when to take your foot off the gas pedal.

Eat Enough

In order to stay ahead it means giving your body the right nutrients for it to grow, adapt and recover properly. You won't get in that size 10 dress if you keep snacking on crisps, biscuits and other rubbish. It actually means you need to watch the foods you eat and more importantly make sure you are getting enough of the good nutrients that keeps your body functioning correctly. Protein is required for your muscles to grow and adapt, carbohydrates are needed so that you have enough energy and fats help internal functioning and can be used as a secondary energy source. Don't neglect them and make sure you eat enough of them :)

No Excuses

To be the best person you can possibly be, you have to go through each day without giving yourself an excuse. Tired? Not feeling it? Want to have a rest day but recently had one? These excuses won't get you the results you want and will only cause you set backs. If you give yourself an excuse on one occasion you are more than likely going to do it again as you think it's ok. Quit the excuses and keep the passion alive, work through the struggle!

Keep Going

You need to know that some days you are going to feel like rubbish and just not want to do what you need to do, that is life but the fact is during this time you have to tell yourself ' I can do this'. You have to keep going even when you don't feel like it as through these tough times is when you will see the results you want. The times when you have to show heart, dedication and grind through the minutes to get to your final, amazing version of you is when change will happen and this is when you will stay ahead of everyone else.

You CAN do IT!!
