The Strongest Teen There’s Ever Been? 244kg Bench & MUCH More Besides!

FACT OF THE DAY logo

Occasionally in sport and competition a phenomenon comes around, Messi in football, Federer in tennis, Carter in rugby, Bolt in athletics, Arnold in bodybuilding and Pudzianowski in strong man. There are times when people enter the sporting arena and reinvent it, reset standards and break every record previously conceivable to man. BodyBuilding.com athlete Larry Williams is one of those people, the 19 year old powerlifter from the Bronx, New York is an exception, he competes in weight categories above him (a very big ask in powerlifting) and WINS them! At only his second ever powerlifting competition Williams competed in the 275lbs weight class, a whole weight class above him, and won it. For the powerlifters out there he totalled 1,965lbs raw comprising a 700lbs squat, a 725lbs deadlift and a 540lbs bench…Bodybuilding.com assert that this truly is unbelievable for a young man of just 19 years of age!

Williams only ever intended to get into powerlifting and bodybuilding for safety, because he wanted to look big and intimidating in a somewhat dangerous neighbourhood. Turns out the lad was pretty darn exceptional at it…remember the name!
