Suck It Up Now So You Don't Have To Suck It In Later....

The stomach muscles are one of the most talked about and worked on muscle groups in the body. If I lined up 100 people consisting of males and females, I would imagine 90% of the group would want to either lose weight or tone up around their mid-drift. So why is the mid section so important to everyone? How many of you have a goal to lose weight around this area? Have you achieved it? For all of us it is an area whereby we store fat easily and therefore we are constantly reminded on how much we want to change it. With the weather changing too it is more likely you are going to worry less about your diet as the beach season is well and truly over. You will wear more clothes and worry about the diet next year when the warmer weather approaches. I don't want you to do that. You can still maintain a good physique without putting on unnecessary body fat, here's how....

The stomach area is what we want to focus on. This is the area for most of us in which we pay close attention too. This area contains more fat storing cells so if you have a poor diet then the chances are you are going to store more fat here. When this happens you are more likely to be depressed and start giving up on your goals. I don't want this to happen so read on with how you can maintain and get better. To start with I want you to make smart choices. When you are eating it comes down to one simple question that I want you to ask yourself.

The question is ''Do you need it''? When you unwrap your chocolate bar, open your bag of crisps or drink your fizzy drink, do you really need them? The common problem I will see is that you will eat these type of foods late at night before you go to bed. The problem with that is these foods contain high amounts of sugar and before you go to bed you don't need this sugar release. When you ingest high amounts of sugar and aren't being active this will cause the body to release insulin. An insulin release means you are more likely to store fat because you aren't going to use this energy. Now, you don't have to tell me that these foods taste good, I know this!

But, lets not forget the goal in mind here, focusing on your stomach and keeping it toned. Do you think consuming these foods in the evening will help? I'm not saying you can't eat these foods, I just want you to make smart choices and maybe eat them when you know you are going to use the energy. Smart choices mean a better you!

Another area I want you to focus on is working the stomach muscles through exercising. I'm not suggesting you perform 100s of sit ups and crunches. No, what I am suggesting is that when you exercise you put an emphasis on your stomach muscles. You might have heard about mind and muscle connection and how this can develop better muscle tone. Well I want you to focus on these muscles when you are performing your squat, deadlift, bench press, lunge, shoulder press etc. If you suck/draw your stomach muscles in whilst you workout, you won't need to suck it in later. You can also do this when you run, swim, row and cycle. If you have a desk job and you sit for long periods throughout the day, be aware of your stomach muscles. If you can develop an efficient mind and muscle connection with your stomach muscles you will start to see results just by doing these small things.

One final thing to consider is the use of a supplement when trying to lose the final stubborn fat around your stomach area. I only recommend using a supplement such as a fat burner if you are making the smart choices I discussed earlier. If your diet is not in check and you don't exercise well, then forget using a fat burner. Not only will it be a waste of money it will be a waste of your time. However, if you are prepared to make smart choices, eat well and train hard then I believe there could be a place for using a fat burner. Fat burners contain certain ingredients that could help burn more fat within the body. These fat burners contain ingredients like green tea extra, CLA and L carnitine which when combined together could metabolise your fat into an energy source.

Remember, if you want to have a toned stomach now and keep it, you need to make sure you are in tune with your diet. Make smart choices and don't forget to think about contracting your stomach muscles throughout the day and especially when you exercise.
