Craving sugar has to be one of the worst cravings because it usually means two things are happening. First of all you are likely to be feeling tired, low in energy and your bloody sugar levels are likely to be low too. Secondly, we all know that craving sugar is only going to help short term, and in a couple of hours time we are likely to experience the same cravings again. What can you do? Well, the key to not craving sugar is eating foods which release energy over a long period of time. Foods low in sugar like slow release carbs, proteins and fats are your best choices.
Make a conscious effort to avoid sugar in your diet and you will not enter the sugar cycle :)
