Is Sugar Really That Bad?

It is in the news again that sugar is the ingredient to look out for and we shouldn't be consuming too much of it. For years saturated fat was seen to be the cause of a lot of illnesses and diseases, however now sugar seems to be replacing this. Too much sugar in the diet is bad for you as it can spike blood sugar levels, clog arteries and increase risks of a heart attack. Foods like cakes, biscuits, fizzy drinks etc all contain a high amount of sugar, but reports are showing that even foods like a bagel contains the same sugar content as five white slices of bread.

Do you eat foods with a high sugar content? Do you notice that if you eat something you could be full of energy and then 30 minutes later crash and feel tired? If you do then it might be time to have a look at what you are eating and make sure it isn't filled with sugar.
