Why NOW Is The Time To Start Your New Year’s Resolution


I never quite understand the ‘New Year, New Me’ mind-set. I mean, I get that we function in a cyclical manner what with January through to December and back around to January again and so on, but why do our goals have to follow suit?

If your goals are to get fit and healthy and stay that way for ever (which it should be), then why does it matter whether you start at the beginning of the year or now…surely the quicker you get healthy the better, right!? In the build up to Christmas, shift your mind-set from the ‘I’ll do it later’ attitude to the ‘I’ll do it NOW’ way of thinking, and don’t play the ‘it’s Christmas’ card either. NOTHING should come between you and your health, life is a blessing and it deserves to be treated that way.

So I am proposing the following… TAKE ACTION NOW!

Trust me when I say that you can have a GREAT holiday period without the need to abuse food, alcohol or your body. You can enjoy the food and drink that is synonymous to Christmas and still exercise discipline.

Winning & Losing

Look at it this way, when are most races won and most fighters victorious? The answer is usually in the final yards or in the final rounds! So look at things this way, if you want to get ahead and really push on with your personal gains and health, then why not push on in the final weeks of the year when most other people are taking their foot off the pedal?

Sometimes all you need is a goal, you’ve got to set targets, establish what it is you want to do before you can implement a plan of action. So right now is the time for you to get a pen and paper and write down 3 things you want to achieve ready for 2016, make sure you write it down as this takes discipline in itself. If you manage to write your goals down then you already have a direction, all that is left for you to do is implement the necessary measures needed to succeed…and it starts NOW! Not next Monday, not on the 1st January…NOW!

Start putting things in place now so that you are ahead of your competition come the turn of the new year.
